This one was created for my fiancés little lad. When I first met him he was only four so I called him little dude but he told me that he preferred to be called a big man and since then I have only ever called him my big man, it’s kind of like a pet name that stuck. Anyway long story short, I’m forever trying to get more fruit and veg into him to make him big and strong but even the thought of bananas make him wretch! And then one day I thought I would try him with a smoothie … and guess what…. He absolutely loved it. No joke it’s the only thing he will have for breakfast. So naturally it seemed only fair to name it after him!

This smoothie is good for children and adults alike. It’s a great one to start with if you’re new to smoothies as its sweet, quick and easy and most importantly liked by all!

It’s also loaded with essential vitamins and minerals which is exactly how you want to start your day. I add hemp protein powder and Echinacea for added protein as well as to give an extra boost for the immune system, but as always it’s totally up to you.

Serves 2

1 banana

2 tbsps. Natural organic yoghurt or coconut yoghurt for a vegan version

¼ – ½ cup orange juice

1 cup cashew milk (or any milk of your choice)

1 cup frozen mixed berries

1 small handful of spinach / baby kale

8 drops Echinacea

1tsp. hemp protein powder

1 apple (optional)

Pop all of the above into a blender, I use a nutri bullet which I absolutely loooovvveeee! ❤️❤️ But any blender will do and blend until smooth.

Pour it into a nice jar or cup and you’re away! 👍

That’s it! It doesn’t get easier than that!

Enjoy my lovelies xxxx

  1. Your Almond Milk recipe is simple and simply brilliant. Tastes fabulous too. I make it every few days so no preservatives or chemicals and costs almost nothing. Win win all around.
