My name’s Aoife, I started Sweff-The-Chef as a platform to share my passion and recipes for healthy food and living. Here you will find good wholesome; healthy recipes. Everything from steaks to vegan dishes, dairy free to gluten free, but always refined sugar free.
Firstly, I would like to advise that the information and recipes that I post up here will not cure diseases or be perscriptive, whilst I have studied nutrition as part of my Degree I am not a nutritionist so please always check with your own specialist.
I have a Degree in Culinary Arts and a Masters in Culinary Innovation and Food Product Development and I’m currently working on my second Masters in Guidance and Counselling, which I am totally loving! ( I feel wellness, food & guidance go hand in hand!) I have worked as a chef in the US and Ireland and over the years have developed a serious passion for happy healthy food!
Why you may ask?
For years I struggled with trying to stay healthy, I was always slightly overweight, sick and tired. I can remember July last year, I had been on eight different types of antibiotics in six months and I just didn’t feel right. I couldn’t understand it! I thought I ate ok-ish but looking back I was kidding myself. So I started to do some research and was shocked with what I learned! So now I am more thoughtful of what I put into my body. Think about your car, you wouldn’t put crap into it and expect it to run properly! Same principle goes for me! Cause I’m worth it and you are too! 🙂
In the last year I have made small changes here and there that have lead to BIG changes in my life. To be honest, it all happened quite slowly and I think if I had to do it all at once I never would have done it. If you take anything from my blog please take this one peace of advice:
Just change one thing, it doesn’t matter how big or small, and most importantly do it for you! Enjoy 🙂
